Our second summer activity will be a Rocket Launch extravaganza at Sylvan Rodriguez Park! (hosted by the Webelos 2s) Date/Time: July 9th (Saturday), 10am Location: Sylvan Rodriguez Park, 1201 Clear Lake City Blvd, Houston, TX 77062 Scouts are welcome to purchase/build their own Estes rockets (or similar if you’re shopping at the scout shop), we have a reusable launcher & controller. Please make sure your kit comes with an engine, recovery wadding, starters & plugs or pick some up. We do not have extras of those. Buying a kit isn’t required though, the kids will all enjoy chasing the rockets that launch. Plus - Ronny is bringing a couple of water rockets that use 2-liter bottles and lunch using a bicycle pump. Everyone will get a chance to use those. We can’t be sure about the weather yet, but let’s assume Texas heat in July. Please bring plenty of water and wear sunscreen/bug spray. See you there! Kate S |
